What is a third-party quality inspection report?

A third-party quality inspection report, also known as type test report, shall be issued by authorized domestic third-party testing institutions. In accordance with e-commerce rules, supermarket access requirements and national standards, products will be tested for quality, safety or specific performance based on national standards and client demands.

If non-conformity is found in the report, the testing agency will provide reasonable improvement suggestions for enterprises to optimize products to meet standard requirements. Micez does not hold CNAS and CMA qualifications. In accordance with national laboratory accreditation regulations, only laboratories with metrological certification (CMA) and CNAS accreditation can issue legally effective quality inspection reports. CMA stands for China Metrology Accreditation, while CNAS refers to the accreditation by China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment.

Purposes of Third-Party Quality Inspection Reports

01 Settle in e-commerce platforms such as JD and Tmall

Official certification stamp is mandatory, with flexible content requirements. Special products such as power banks, batteries, adapters, apparel, bags and shoes require targeted testing.
02 Bidding and tendering

Comply with the specific requirements of bidding documents
03 Project acceptance

Meet acceptance standards of the project owner and supervision party
04 Supplier review

Submitted as supplier qualification documents; national standard reports are acceptable if no special requirements
05 Brand promotion

Multiple official certification stamps are preferred, with customized testing items available

Applicable Standards for Third-Party Inspection Reports

Without designated standards, testing items will be determined by the actual usage of the report. Different products adopt exclusive national testing standards: GB7000 for lamps, GB4706 for household appliances, GB4943 for IT products, GB8898 for audio-visual equipment, and GB17761 for self-balancing scooters. Corresponding standards are formulated according to product categories.

Inspection Report Processing Procedures

2. Submit product information and fill in the testing application form

3. Send samples to our company; we will arrange testing at cooperative laboratories after sample confirmation

4. Issue the draft inspection report upon completion of testing

5. Confirm the draft, then issue the official report and close the case

Cost & Lead Time of Third-Party Testing Reports

Testing fees depend on product testing items. The cost ranges: textiles 100-2000, electronic products 500-3500, non-electronic products 500-2000. Products with identical functions and different colors can apply for series testing to reduce costs. The conventional processing cycle is 7-15 working days, with expedited service available.
