Metrological Approval Certification Uzbekistan

Cabinet of Ministers Decree No. 373 of August 5, 2004 on improving the structure and operation of standardization, metrology and certification institutions in Uzbekistan. The unified national system of metrology (USM) is based on national standards and regulatory documents, which govern the transmission of measurement units, as well as the testing, inspection and calibration procedures of measuring instruments in Uzbekistan.

Two Types of Uzbekistan Metrological Certification:

1. For one-off export of single equipment, single-piece or single-batch metrological certification is available;

2. For long-term export of identical products, enterprises may apply for a long-term metrological certificate, valid for up to five years.

Uzbekistan Metrological Certification Process:

1. Fill in the application form and submit product certification documents;

2. Submit the completed application and Russian product manual (including purpose, measuring range, accuracy and other technical parameters) to metrology authority experts;

3. The authority reviews application and supporting documents;

4. Document approval; supplementary materials shall be resubmitted if rejected;

5. Confirm certification scheme: sample testing or factory audit;

— For sample testing: submit samples to the designated laboratory for inspection;

— For factory audit: we arrange experts to conduct on-site factory inspection, coordination and translation services;

6. Experts sort out documents and list supplementary requirements;

7. The applicant checks and confirms metrological documents;

8. Complete document review and complete product registration with the metrology authority;

9. The metrology authority issues the official certificate.
