The CPR Regulation came into full force on July 1, 2013, bringing construction product CE certification under the highest level of EU supervision.

The CE marking is a mandatory requirement for products entering the EU market. Only products with CE marking can circulate freely within the European Union. In accordance with the new EU directive regulations, different product categories shall adopt corresponding certification directives and assessment modes. CPR (Construction Products Regulation, No.305/2011) covers all products permanently installed in buildings and civil engineering works. Certification modes are classified based on product hazard levels and harmonized standards.
