Uzbekistan GOST-UZ Certification CIS National Certification
Uzbekistan GOST-UZ (UZGOST) certification aims to ensure imported goods quality. On December 3, 1997, the Uzbekistan Cabinet issued regulations on pre-shipment independent inspection and contract certification for imported commodities.
Inspection and contract certification are undertaken by authorized local and international consulting companies registered with the Uzbekistan Agency for Standardization, Metrology and Certification. The inspection covers product quality, quantity, price and other key indicators.
In accordance with Cabinet Resolution No.318 of July 6, 2004, imported goods are divided into mandatory inspection and inspection-exempted categories. Complete sets and spare parts of electromechanical products are mostly mandatory, confirmed by customs HS codes. Relevant tests shall be conducted by designated registered institutions with charges determined by product type and inspection mode.
