GOST-R Certification refers to Russian National Standard Certification. GOST stands for state standard, while R represents Russia. The GOST-R certificate is a mandatory document for customs clearance and domestic sales in Russia, serving as the market access permit for imported goods.

In accordance with Russian Federal Law on Technical Regulation, product compliance certification is divided into mandatory and voluntary schemes. Mandatory certification includes two forms: declaration of conformity and mandatory certification.

GOST-R Certificate Classification

1. Batch Shipment Certificate
Valid only for the specific goods stated in foreign trade contracts. Multiple partial deliveries are allowed under the same model. Suitable for occasional exporters, requiring contracts and commercial invoices with Russian buyers.

2. 1-Year Mass Production Certificate
Issued directly to manufacturers with specified product models. Unlimited export quantity, buyers and shipments within one year. On-site factory audit by Russian experts is generally not required.

3. 3-Year Mass Production Certificate
Long-term valid certification covering unlimited sales. Product testing and on-site factory inspection by Russian auditors are required during application.

Required Application Documents

1. English or Russian application form;

2. Business license;

3. ISO9001 and other quality system certificates;

4. Product brochures and technical documents;

5. Product photos;

6. Other supplementary materials as required.

Certification Procedures

1. Submit application with product name, model, specifications and HS code;

2. Confirm classification and customized certification solution;

3. Arrange technical documents and application materials;

4. Official review of documents and factory qualification, issue draft certificate;

5. Issue official electronic and paper certificates.
