Kazakhstan GOST-K Certification CIS National Certification

GOST-K is the national certification of Kazakhstan, divided into mandatory and voluntary schemes. GOST-K certificates are issued by authorized bodies under the Kazakhstan Technical Regulation and Metrology Agency. To comply with local standards, both domestic and imported products within the mandatory scope must hold a valid GOST-K certificate.

A GOST-K certificate proves that goods meet Kazakhstan’s technical regulations and are approved for import and domestic use. Government Decree No. 367 issued on April 20, 2004 clearly defines the mandatory product list and corresponding customs codes. With the implementation of EAEU Customs Union certification, part of the original GOST-K scope has been transferred to unified Customs Union regulations.

Validity Period of Kazakhstan GOST-K Certificate

Single-Batch Certificate

Issued for one-time import under a specific contract and invoice, exclusively to Kazakhstan local importers. It becomes invalid if changing importers or arranging new import shipments.

Usually issued based on technical document review, with no product testing required.

Serial Certificate (1–3 Years)

Valid for 1 to 3 years and issued directly to manufacturers. Within the validity period, products can be imported to Kazakhstan unlimited times.

Most serial certificates are approved by document assessment. For certain products, sample testing in designated local laboratories or on-site factory audits by Kazakhstan experts are required.
