The Russian Ministry of Construction Certification, namely the Gosstroy GOST Conformity Certification, is a mandatory GOST certification for construction products. Equivalent to industry-specific GOST certificates, it verifies that building materials and products comply with Russian national construction codes, design specifications, safety standards and related regulations.

A valid sanitary permit is a prerequisite for issuing the Gosstroy Certificate, and fire safety certificates are additionally required for certain product categories.

The certification is implemented under the unified GOST system formulated by the Russian State Standard Committee. Accordingly, certificates shall be jointly referenced to two authorities: the Russian State Standard Committee and the Russian State Construction Committee.

Products Subject to Mandatory Gosstroy GOST Certification

1. Window profile materials (plastic-steel, wooden, aluminum);

2. Wooden balcony doors;

3. Grade II–IV door locks.

Other construction goods are applicable for voluntary GOST certification, which can be applied optionally based on market demands.
