Children's Products EAC Certification Customs Union Certification
Customs Union Technical Regulation TR CU 007/2011 on the Safety of Children and Adolescent Products is formulated in accordance with the joint technical regulation agreement signed by Belarus, Kazakhstan and Russia on November 18, 2010.
This regulation aims to establish unified mandatory safety requirements for children’s products within the Customs Union, ensuring free circulation of qualified goods across the region.
If children's products are covered by other Customs Union and Eurasian Economic Community regulations, they shall comply with all applicable technical rules simultaneously.
TR CU 007/2011 Certification Scope
1. This regulation applies to new unused children and adolescent products circulated in Eurasian Union member states.
Covered products:
- Baby supplies: pacifiers, tableware, hygiene products, toothbrushes and gum massagers;
- Apparel, textiles, leather, fur and knitted goods for children and teenagers;
- Footwear and leather articles;
- Strollers and bicycles;
- Books, magazines and school supplies.
Excluded products:
- Medical-use goods;
- Baby food;
- Perfumes and cosmetics;
- Sports goods and equipment;
- Textbooks and electronic educational publications;
- Toys and board games;
- Furniture;
- Custom-made products.
2. The regulation sets mandatory standards on chemical, biological, mechanical and thermal safety to protect minors’ health and avoid misleading consumers.
