Kazakhstan's competent authorities attach great importance to fire safety management. All involved products and materials must obtain a fire safety certificate before being put into use, and relevant authorities implement strict market supervision. The fire safety certificate is issued by the Fire Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Kazakhstan, which is generally granted on the basis of complete technical documents and test reports issued by authorized laboratories.
Scope of Kazakhstan Fire Safety Certification:
1. Low-voltage flame retardant cables;
2. Fire early warning systems and data transmission wires;
3. Flammable or semi-combustible building materials: carpets, wallpapers, synthetic flooring materials, door panels, etc.;
4. Fire-resistant materials, coatings and fire safety doors;
5. Fire hose cabinets;
6. Fire extinguishers;
7. Fire dampers;
8. Household refrigerators and similar appliances (including compressors);
9. Household equipment using LPG or natural gas: gas stoves, gas water heaters, standalone electric heaters, etc.;
10. Industrial products fueled by natural gas: incinerators, generators, etc.;
11. Home textiles such as curtains.
Validity Period of Kazakhstan Fire Safety Certification:
Single-Batch Certificate
A single-batch certificate is applied by Kazakh importers for one-time import of goods. This certificate is issued to local importers and requires relevant contracts and invoices. It becomes invalid if the importer is changed or for subsequent import shipments.
Batch Certificate (2 Years)
The 2-year batch certificate is directly issued to manufacturers. Within the validity period, products can be imported and sold in the whole territory of Kazakhstan with unlimited shipment times.
Application Procedures for Kazakhstan Fire Safety Certification:
1. The applicant submits a certification application;
2. The certification body confirms the certification mode and requirements according to product information;
3. The applicant submits complete product technical documents;
4. Confirm sample testing or factory audit based on the certification mode:
- For sample testing: The applicant prepares and sends samples to designated laboratories authorized by Kazakhstan Fire Department;
- For factory audit: Our company arranges Kazakh experts to conduct on-site factory inspection, coordination and translation services.
5. Review and supplement certification documents;
6. Certificate issuance and official registration.
Document List for Kazakhstan Fire Safety Certification:
1. Enterprise information: official Chinese & English name, address, contact information; specify separately if registered address differs from production address;
2. Enterprise qualification documents: business license, organization code certificate, tax registration certificate;
3. Valid ISO9001 quality management system certificate;
4. Product information: accurate Chinese / English / Russian product name, model, HS code, etc.;
5. Russian version of product manual;
6. Product photos;
7. Product drawings: mechanical drawings, electrical drawings, etc.;
8. Test report issued by ISO17025 accredited third-party laboratory;
9. Internal test records or reports;
10. Calibration records and reports of internal testing equipment;
11. Other international certification documents (CE, UL, etc.).
