EAC certification is the official approval for Customs Union member states. Led by Russia, the union covers five countries: Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Armenia and Kyrgyzstan. Mandatory since 2015, EAC certified products are allowed for direct import and sale across these nations, named after the EAC marking.

The validity period of EAC certificates includes single-batch, 1-year, 3-year and 5-year options. Single-batch certificates require overseas sample testing; 1/3/5-year certificates demand factory audits by foreign institutions plus overseas sample testing.

Required Documents for EAC Certificate

1. Customs Union EAC application form;

2. Product specification manual (Russian & English required for official application);

3. ISO9001 certificate (if available);

4. General assembly drawing or technical drawings;

5. Product HS code;

6. Other valid certificates or test reports (CE, CB, etc. if applicable);

7. Product photos;

8. Test reports and factory qualification certificates;

9. Business license;

10. Applicant’s business license, tax registration certificate and supply contract.

EAC Certification Cycle

EAC Declaration can be issued within one week with complete documents. For cases requiring sample testing and factory inspection, the whole process takes around one month.

EAC Certification Cost

EAC Declaration is document-based with a low cost of several thousand RMB. EAC Certificate with sample testing varies by product, ranging from several thousand to ten thousand RMB.
