In accordance with Decree No. 878 issued by the Customs Union Commission on December 9, 2011, TR CU 019/2011, the technical regulation on the safety of personal protective equipment (PPE), came into force on June 1, 2012, covering Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan.
The Customs Union Regulation TR CU 019/2011 establishes mandatory safety requirements for personal protective equipment. It aims to protect users' life, health and the environment, and prevent misleading practices to consumers. PPE safety refers to the prevention of unacceptable impacts on humans and the environment caused by protective equipment, including materials used in production.
Types of TR CU 019/2011 Certificates:
Certificate of Conformity, Declaration of Conformity, Exemption Letter
Scope and Regulated Products of TR CU 019/2011:
1. Personal protection against mechanical hazards
2. Personal protection against chemical hazards
3. Personal protection against radiation (ionizing radiation, radioactive substances)
4. Personal protection against high and low temperature
5. Protection against thermal arc, ionizing radiation, electric shock and static electricity
6. High-visibility protective clothing
7. Special personal protective equipment
8. Dermatological personal protective products
Personal protective equipment shall not be placed on the EAEU market until it complies with this regulation and other Customs Union requirements.
TR CU 019/2011 Certification Process:
Provide detailed product information and fill in the application form accurately. Certification experts will formulate the compliance plan. If testing or factory audit is required, the certificate will be issued within 3-4 weeks after passing all assessments.
