TR CU 025/2012 is the core technical regulation for furniture safety in the Eurasian Economic Union. Approved by Customs Union Commission Decision No. 32 on June 15, 2012, it came into force on July 15, 2014, applicable to Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Armenia.
This regulation formulates unified requirements for furniture products, aiming to protect personal health, property and ecological environment. Meanwhile, standardized marking prevents consumer misleading and improper use.

Compliance with TR CU 025/2012 is a mandatory prerequisite for furniture to enter Russian and Eurasian markets.
Scope of Application
The regulation covers all newly manufactured and imported furniture circulating in the EAEU market, including customized designer furniture.
Certified Product Range:

(2) School furniture
(3) Nursery furniture
(4) Civil and commercial conventional furniture
Excluded Products:
(5) Dental, medical and veterinary furniture
(6) Furniture for railway, marine and aviation transportation
(7) Antique furniture
(8) Second-hand furniture
(9) Advertising display samples
Note: Furniture involving low-voltage parts, mechanical structures or flame retardant performance shall also comply with TR CU 004/2011, TR CU 010/2011 and other supporting regulations. Special products such as children furniture additionally require fire resistance certificate and national hygienic registration. All qualified furniture must be affixed with EAC marking; unmarked products will face penalties such as fines and seizure.
