Agricultural Tractor EAC Certification Customs Union Certification
Customs Union TR CU 031/2012 specifies binding safety requirements for agricultural and forestry vehicles, trailers and components, to protect human health, property and ecological environment. Meanwhile, it prevents misleading behaviors in product use and consumer safety.
TR CU 031/2012 unifies mandatory standards for agricultural & forestry vehicles and trailers across the Customs Union, ensuring free circulation of goods in the EAEU market.

According to the regulation, the design and manufacturing of agricultural and forestry vehicles must guarantee safety throughout the whole service life.
Products Covered by TR CU 031/2012
Wheeled agricultural & forestry tractors and trailers, as well as related parts and components: towing devices, audible alarm devices, glass parts, reflectors, tail lamps, brake lamps, turn signals, license plate lamps, low-beam lamps, high-beam lamps, fog lamps, reverse lamps, side lamps, tires, engines, seats, speed limiters, speedometers, rearview mirrors, seat belts, cab assemblies, etc.
TR CU 031/2012 Certification Steps
Step 1: Submit application documents: product manual for each model, tractor questionnaire as required in Appendix 2 of TR CU 031/2012, contract or commercial invoice;
Step 2: Professional review and analysis on submitted technical documents;
Step 3: Sample selection by certification body for relevant performance testing;
Step 4: Conduct production site assessment and factory audit (under Module 1C);
Step 5: Issue EAC certificate after passing tests and factory audit.
The maximum validity period of the certificate is 5 years; single-batch goods are delivered in accordance with the contract with no fixed validity period.
Note: Mini tractors and cabless tractors are not regulated by TR CU 031/2012. Such products can apply for EAC certification in accordance with TR CU 010/2011 Machinery Safety Regulation.
