Elevator Safety EAC Certification Customs Union Certification
TR CU 011/2011 covers all elevators and safety components installed in residential and non-residential buildings within the EAEU region.
This Customs Union regulation sets mandatory safety requirements for elevators and safety components to protect life, health and property, and prevent misleading practices for consumers. It ensures unified implementation of elevator safety rules and free circulation of products across the Customs Union. The design, production and installation of elevators must comply with technical standards to guarantee safety throughout the service life.
Before November 15, 2013, elevators complying with national standards such as GOST could be placed on the market. All elevators put into operation before the entry into force of TR CU 011/2011 and within their approved service life must meet the requirements of this regulation.
