Low-voltage Electrical Appliances EAC Certification Customs Union Certification

TR CU 004/2011 covers electrical equipment with AC voltage ranging from 50V to 1000V and DC voltage from 75V to 1500V.

All low-voltage electrical products exported to the Eurasian Union (Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Armenia, Kyrgyzstan) must complete mandatory EAC certification in accordance with TR CU 004/2011, which has been officially implemented since February 15, 2013. Products without valid EAC certification are prohibited from sales in the EAEU market.

If electrical products involve any combination of the following three regulations, they shall comply with corresponding requirements and obtain relevant certification:

• TR CU 004/2011: Safety of low-voltage equipment

• TR CU 020/2011: Electromagnetic compatibility safety

• TR CU 010/2011: Safety of machinery and equipment

Two Types of EAC Certificates by Risk Level

• EAC Declaration of Conformity (Module 1D, 2D, 3D, 4D, 5D, 6D)

• EAC Certificate of Conformity (Module 1C, 2C, 3C, 4C, 9C)

The EAC Certificate requires sample testing, factory audit and annual supervision audit.

For EAC Declaration, Module 1D accepts assessment based on existing test reports without repeated sampling. Other declaration modules require sample testing. Factory audit is only required for the first application of Module 6D, with no annual supervision.
